In Wednesday night’s AFL All Australian reveal, the YJFL had four former players successfully cement their spots in the team.
In a hotly talked about team selection, four stars of the game were rewarded with their great seasons with a spot on the team.
Christian Petracca, formally of Beverley Hills was selected as ruck rover. A great year for Christian culminated in Melbourne’s Best and Fairest Award and his first selection in the All Australian line up. At 24 years old, Christian had a huge impact in the midfield in 2020 and could also flex his powers up forward.

Former Comet and Ivanhoe player, Darcy Moore received his first All Australian blazer in 2020 after an amazing year leading the Pies backline. A versatile defender Moore played 16 of 17 games in the home and away season and accumulated 215 disposals, 104 spoils and 57 rebound 50’s.

Selected for the second time in the team on the wing is former Rover Jack Macrae. At 26 years old Macrae had 455 disposals in 2020 that was the second highest in the league. Jack is a former YJFL Best and Fairest winner, being awarded back in 2005 in his under 11 year.

Finally, is Darcy Byrne-Jones who has been placed on the half backline. Former Camberwell Shark, Darcy was one the Power’s most consistent performers in 2020 and averaged 17.4 disposals in the season. Darcy was a Shark in 2009-10 and played 30 games.
