The Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) is pleased to announce the appointment of
Dominic Milesi as the league’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The Board after an exhaustive process, wish to thank all who applied, have been able to
identify a person to take the YJFL forward through the implementation of our Strategic plan
over the next 3 years and beyond. A critical element being to continue our support of clubs
in participation, positive experience for players their supporters and all who create the game
each week.
Dominic has a passion for AFL and with over 15 years being involved in talent identification,
he understands all aspects of the AFL journey , but also the need to enjoy playing the game.
The Board has a desire to recognise the needs of all players and Dominic impressed with his
desire to increase participation in the game of AFL of all players.
Dominic is joining the YJFL after 5 years as National Recruiting Manager Western Bulldogs
Football Club and previously Recruiting Manager at Collingwood for 12. This gives great
insight into the AFL journey for players. With qualifications in Finance and a number of
specialist development activities Dominic has significant base to undertake this new role.
YJFL President, Robert Gould, said Dominic was a standout applicant identified after a
comprehensive recruitment process, citing his passion for the game, AFL industry
experience and desire to achieve sustained success.

ability to lead and people skills. Dominic excels in strategic data-driven decision making.”

Commenting on the appointment, Dominic said he was excited to move into the role and
work with the YJFL community.
“I am extremely grateful to the Board for the privilege of being able to lead one of the premier
junior football competitions in the country.”
“My focus will be to engage and work with clubs, volunteers, sponsors and the broader
YJFL community to take advantage of the unique position YJFL has in creating a positive
environment for Junior football”

being created for all players in their football journeys.”
Dominic will commence in the role from Sunday, March 16, 2025.
