The Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) presents to you the YJFL Strategic Plan for 2024-2027. Developed with our 31 member clubs, the Strategic Plan will continue to build on our strong foundations with a clear direction for the future of junior football in the Inner East & Inner North of Metropolitan Melbourne.
Our emphasis will be on ensuring every child is safe & empowered. The eleven (11) Victorian Child Safety Standards are embedded throughout the YJFL Strategic Plan. Creating the best possible & safest participation environment (Match Day & during the week) will drive our competition delivery & development over the next three years.
Never forgetting that footy should be fun & accessible for everyone in our community, we will ensure that our clubs represent & reflect the communities they represent. Identifying ways to engage the diverse community across the YJFL region is paramount to achieve our target of 13,000 participants by the end of 2027. The age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, levels of physical or mental ability or any other of the many characteristics which make up our diverse community provide no impediment to participation in the game.
Embodying daily our values of Enjoyment, Trusted, Connected, Collaboration, & Integrity, we will work in partnership with our community, key stakeholders, & AFL Victoria to deliver this strategy.
